Cosmetic Emulsifier

The Cosmetic Emulsifiers are the ingredients that are used for effective mixing of oils and water while making lotions and creams. The use of emulsifiers makes the solution homogeneous in nature and keeps water and oil intact. The emulsifiers are used for blending unlike ingredients together in various cosmetic formulas.

These are of two types :

1. Oil-in-water (o/w) emulsifiers, which helps in keeping the drops of oil packed in water
2. Water-in-oil (w/o) emulsifiers, which helps in keeping the drops of water packed in oil.
